About ESWE Verkehr
The ESWE Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH is the operator of the local public transport network in Wiesbaden, the state capital of Hesse, which is rich in tradition yet forward-looking. Our buses have been an implicit part of the Wiesbaden cityscape for decades. We associate the trust in us as a progressive transport company resulting from this with many technological innovations. Our young bus fleet, comprising around 271 vehicles, is particularly exemplary in the area of exhaust reduction and filtration.
The ESWE Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH employs approximately over 1,000 people, of which around two-thirds work in vehicle operation services. In our over 660-kilometre route network, they carry more than 59 million passengers on a total of 41 lines every year.
As a partner in the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV), we are part of one of the largest transport associations in Germany. The RMV zone comprises around 14,000 square kilometres in the southern and central parts of the state of Hesse, as well as in several adjacent local authorities. Around five million people live in this common fare zone.
