To make the use of public transport even more attractive, especially for commuters, a particularly favourable price level is also offered: It is called price level 30 and is an ‘intermediate price level’ between price levels 13 and 4.
Price level 30 is a neighbourhood fare: it applies to all journeys between the Wiesbaden city area and five neighbouring municipalities in the Rheingau-Taunus district, namely Eltville, Kiedrich, Niedernhausen, Schlangenbad and Taunusstein. The price advantage compared to price level 4, to which these five municipalities previously belonged, is around 17%!
Included free of charge: the take-along ticket
In accordance with the RMV-wide take-along regulation, holders of adult fare season tickets and advantage tickets (weekly, monthly and annual tickets including 9 o'clock tickets, 65-plus monthly tickets and Seniorenticket Hessen Komfort) as well as JobTickets and FirmenCards with take-along regulation can take one adult and an unlimited number of children under the age of 15 with them free of charge from 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays - on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in Hesse as well as all day on 24 and 31 December. and even all day on 24 and 31 December - one adult and an unlimited number of children under the age of 15 can travel free of charge within the respective price level booked.
In addition, in accordance with the extended carriage regulations of the Mainz-Wiesbaden Transport Association (VMW), holders of the above-mentioned season tickets (but excluding JobTickets, FirmenCards and LandesTicket Hessen) can also take all their own children or up to three children under the age of 15 with them free of charge from Monday to Friday during the day (until 19:00). This VMW regulation applies in the entire 6500 fare zone for all RMV means of transport, i.e. for all bus and rail products (excluding IC and ICE trains). If a child (aged 6 to 14) uses a ticket, the extended VMW rule does not apply.
Conditions of carriage and fare regulations
When you start your journey, a contract of carriage is automatically concluded, which includes the following regulations:
- Verordnung über die Allgemeinen Beförderungsbedingungen (BefBedV)
- Gemeinsame Beförderungsbedingungen und Tarifbestimmungen des Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbundes (RMV) nebst Anlagen
- Besondere Beförderungsbedingungen des Verkehrsverbundes Mainz-Wiesbaden (VMW); In cases of doubt and contradictions, these take precedence over the RMV regulations.
You can obtain a printed copy of the RMV or VMW conditions of carriage and fare regulations free of charge from the ESWE Verkehr mobility centre.
