5 % discount on the Deutschland-Ticket: How to benefit from the JobTicket Deutschland

The terms and conditions for the Deutschlandticket (D-Ticket) specify the conditions for issuing the JobTicket Deutschland.

  • The employer concludes a framework agreement with ESWE Verkehr on the purchase of JobTickets Deutschland. Other branches or locations of the company can be integrated into the framework agreement.
  • The employer pays a subsidy of at least 25% of the issue price of €58.00 per JobTicket. Voluntary higher subsidies up to full cost coverage by the employer are of course possible.
  • Whether a small company or a large corporation, any organisation can use the JobTicket Deutschland. The costs for the employer depend on the number of tickets purchased and therefore on the number of users.

Notes on invoicing:

  • The employer and ESWE Verkehr have entered into a framework agreement for the JobTicket Deutschland.
  • The employer is responsible for making the subsidy payment directly to ESWE Verkehr.
  • Employees can then conclude a subscription contract with ESWE Verkehr via the ordering process. Each month, ESWE Verkehr debits the costs for the JobTicket Deutschland directly from the user's account, minus the specified employer subsidy.

FAQs

Deutschland-Ticket

Carrying policy

  • For children under 6 years old, traveling is still free. Children over 6 years old and adults cannot be taken for free. They need their own ticket.

    Mitnahmeregelung
  • The Germany Ticket is personal and non-transferable to other individuals. A personalized ticket is valid only for its holder — and only in conjunction with an official photo ID. Your name (in encrypted form), your date of birth (month and year), and your gender are stored on the personalized eTicket chip card.

  • The free transport of bicycles is not automatically included in the Deutschlandticket. This varies depending on the transport company, and the respective local fare regulations apply.

For taking a bicycle on our buses and throughout the RMV fare zone, no additional ticket is required – you can take your bike for free. However, there is no entitlement to bring bicycles or kick scooters. Passengers with wheelchairs or strollers take priority over passengers with bicycles or kick scooters.

  • The free transport of dogs or other animals is not automatically included in the Deutschlandticket. This varies depending on the transport company, and the respective local tariff regulations apply.

On buses operated by ESWE Verkehr and other transport companies within the RMV, the Gemeinsame Beförderungsbedingungen (gültig ab 01.01.2022) apply. Under § 11, regarding the transport of animals, you can read the guidelines for taking animals along. It is important to note that guide dogs accompanying blind passengers are always allowed to travel!

  • With the Deutschlandticket, our local transportation becomes more accessible for everyone and much more affordable for many. Existing subscriptions do not need to be canceled. You can decide at the appropriate time whether you want to remain on your current subscription or switch to the Deutschlandticket. Special agreements, such as bring-along rules, are not carried over when switching to the Deutschlandticket. Other people, dogs, or bicycles can be taken along for an additional fee (local tariff regulations apply).

Ticket purchase

  • The details regarding discounts for students, apprentices, or trainees, as well as regulations for marginally employed individuals, will be determined by the states and transport associations. As soon as results are available, we will inform you immediately.

  • Children under six years old travel for free on public transport and do not need a Germany Ticket. Children over 6 years old must purchase a ticket.

There is the option to buy the cheaper School Ticket Hessen. With this ticket, school-age children can travel throughout Hesse for 365 euros per year. If you don't need the Germany Ticket for your child, you can also purchase this ticket.

  • The Deutschlandticket can be canceled on a monthly basis.
