The On-Demand service in Wiesbaden
The on-demand service "WiMobil" enables flexible journeys between the residential areas around the Biebrich Cemetery (Zone A) and the Biebrich town center or Wiesbaden Ost train station (Zone B).
The "WiMobil" operates on demand during its operating hours, meaning without fixed departure times and without fixed routes. You order the vehicle exactly when you want to travel.
For boarding and alighting, in addition to the traditional bus stops, virtual stops are also available in the vicinity of the Biebrich Cemetery. Virtual stops are designated points where you can board or alight the "WiMobil," and they are often closer to your starting point or destination than a regular bus stop.
Journeys are possible between the zones (Zone A and Zone B) as well as within Zone A, provided the distance between the start and destination is at least 500 meters. Journeys within Zone B are not possible, as a comprehensive scheduled bus service is already available there.
In this way, the "WiMobil" strengthens the overall public transport system in the area of the Biebrich Cemetery and provides a convenient connection to the S-Bahn (suburban train) or city bus lines.

How WiMobil Works
Unlike buses and trains, the "WiMobil" has neither a timetable nor fixed routes. You order the "WiMobil" when you want to travel. The vehicle usually arrives at the booked starting stop in less than 30 minutes.
Alternatively, trips can be reserved up to seven days in advance. Recurring bookings can also be made.
To make the journeys as efficient as possible, the "WiMobil" bundles similar ride requests from different passengers.
The "WiMobil" operates between the residential areas around the Biebrich Cemetery (see Zone A on the map) and the Biebrich town center or Wiesbaden Ost train station (see Zone B on the map). Booking via the App

1. Download the App
Download the App OnDemand@RMV and register with your mobile phone number.
Store a payment method (credit card or PayPal) or select cashless payment in the vehicle.

2. Book Your Ride
Select the time, start, and destination, and book your ride.
Immediately afterwards, you will receive a confirmation with all important information in the app.

3. Start Your Journey
Go to your selected starting stop.
You can track exactly when the vehicle arrives in the app.
Board the vehicle and travel comfortably to your destination.

By Phone
In addition to using the app, you can also book the on-demand service "WiMobil" by phone after prior registration by calling (069) 24 24 80 24.
The one-time registration can be done using the online registration form or at the ESWE Verkehr Mobility Center (Marktstraße 10, 65183 Wiesbaden).

Children under 6 travel free when accompanied by you.
Passengers accompanying you, as specified during the booking, are carried free of charge in accordance with the current RMV tariff provisions.
Important: Please note that tickets valid beyond the on-demand area can only be purchased in the vehicle or via the RMV GO app. For technical reasons, tickets purchased directly via the OnDemand@RMV app are only valid for travel with “WiMobil.” When booking via the OnDemand@RMV app, you must indicate that you already have a ticket. Otherwise, you will be charged twice for the fare.
Payment
With all booking methods, cashless payment is possible in the vehicle, specifically with a credit card, debit card (e.g., Girocard, formerly EC card), or the ESWE Verkehr prepaid payment card.
When booking via the OnDemand@RMV app, payment for the "WiMobil" ride can also be made using the payment method stored in the app—via credit card or PayPal.

Yes, recurring bookings are possible through all available booking methods.

Can I buy a connecting ticket for onward travel in the WiMobil?
Yes. If you want to use the On-Demand service as a feeder to a bus or train, please indicate during the booking process that you already possess a valid RMV ticket.
In the vehicle, you can purchase your ticket for the entire route within the RMV area as usual.

Can I spontaneously board at the stop without booking a trip beforehand?
No, spontaneous boarding without a prior booking is not possible.
The On-Demand service operates exclusively on the basis of pre-booked trips. -
What is the cost of a ride with the WiMobil?
For passengers with a valid RMV ticket, there are no additional costs. Without an RMV ticket, the fare per trip is €3.90 for adults and €2.20 for children (6-14 years). You can bring up to 6 additional people for free per booking.
Passengers can pay in advance by credit card and PayPal, or in the vehicle by card or ESWE Verkehr prepaid payment card. Please note that for tariff reasons, a ticket purchased via the OnDemand@RMV-App can only be used for the ride on the WiMobil and is not valid beyond that. How old do I have to be to use the On-Demand shuttle WiMobil?
Anyone can use the On-Demand services in the RMV area. Children (up to and including 5 years old) must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I pre-order an On-Demand trip?
Yes, you can pre-order your trip up to 7 days in advance using all available booking options.

Can I bring other people along in the WiMobil?
Yes. After you have entered the start and destination, you can specify how many people are traveling with you. A total of up to 6 additional people can be specified as co-passengers.

What do I need to do after booking the On-Demand service?
After booking via the app or the online booking portal, you will receive a trip confirmation, which also specifies the start time of the trip and the pick-up stop. Please proceed to the designated pick-up stop at the booked time. You can also view any intermediate changes to the vehicle's arrival time in the app or the online booking portal. When boarding, please state the name under which the booking was made.
After booking by phone, please proceed to the specified address/pick-up stop. When boarding, please state the name and the Passenger ID under which the booking was made.

Can I cancel my On-Demand booking?
Yes, you can cancel your booking. Cancellation is possible under "Planned trips" (Geplante Fahrten) in the app and in the online booking portal. The following rules apply:
- Ad-hoc booking (immediate trip): Free cancellation up to 60 seconds after booking.
- Advance booking: Free cancellation up to 60 minutes before the planned departure.
After the deadlines expire, a cancellation fee of 50% of the fare will be charged.

How do I enter my valid RMV ticket in the app?
Before entering the start and destination addresses, click on the menu button in the top left corner, and navigate via "Passenger settings" (Fahrgasteinstellungen) to the area where you can select your currently valid RMV ticket.
Please ensure that you are in possession of a valid RMV ticket before starting any journey. Otherwise, a single ticket must be purchased from the driver for the corresponding journey.

Can I buy a connecting ticket for onward travel in the WiMobil?
Yes. If you want to use the On-Demand service as a feeder to a bus or train, please indicate during the booking process that you already possess a valid RMV ticket.
In the vehicle, you can purchase your ticket for the entire route within the RMV area as usual.

What happens if I repeatedly fail to show up for my booked trips?
If you fail to show up for the start of your booked trip three times within a period of three months, your access to the On-Demand service will be suspended for 30 days.

What should I do if I want to catch a specific connection (e.g., bus or S-Bahn) with my On-Demand trip?
If you wish to reach a connection, please book your On-Demand trip with sufficient time buffer and specify your desired arrival time using the "Arrival by" option during the booking.
However, please note that connection guarantees cannot be provided in On-Demand transport.

How do I recognize my On-Demand vehicle?
In the app and the online booking portal, you will see which vehicle is picking you up. The vehicle type and the license plate number will be displayed there. You can also recognize the vehicle by the ESWE-Verkehr design as well as the WiMobil lettering.

When and where will the On-Demand vehicle pick me up?
In the app and the online booking portal you will see:
- The pick-up location,
- The vehicle that is picking you up,
- And the estimated arrival time.
You can track the vehicle in real-time.
For a telephone booking, you will be informed of the pick-up location (address) and the estimated arrival time.

How will I be informed about a change in the departure or arrival times of the On-Demand vehicle?
You can see your estimated departure and arrival times in the app and the online booking portal. If your departure time changes, you will be informed via the app. If you book by phone, you will receive a voice message for significant delays.

What are virtual stops in the On-Demand service?
Virtual stops are fixed points where you can get on or off the On-Demand vehicle. They are often closer to your start or destination than a regular bus stop.
After booking, the app and the online booking portal will show you exactly where your nearest (virtual) stop is located. Alternatively, our customer service can also inform you about the exact pick-up location (address).

Are potential intermediate stops with the On-Demand service planned into the trip's schedule from the start?
Yes, these are already planned in advance so that the time window offered to you can be adhered to.

Will the On-Demand vehicle wait if I am late?
The driver will wait for a few minutes and try to reach you by phone.
It is best to inform us directly via the app if you are running late. If you cannot be reached or do not show up at the pick-up location, the trip will be cancelled and 50% of the fare will be charged.

Can people with disabilities use the On-Demand service?
A special use area is available in our vehicles for the transport of passengers in wheelchairs. Please add the "Access to a wheelchair-accessible vehicle" option in the main menu of the app under "Passenger settings" (Fahrgasteinstellungen).

How much space does the WiMobil offer?
The number of seats and the available space vary depending on the vehicle type. Please be sure to specify any special requirements, such as larger luggage, a rollator, or a stroller, during the booking process. Due to space limitations, bicycles or bulky luggage (Sperrgut) cannot be taken in the On-Demand vehicle.

What luggage am I allowed to take in the On-Demand vehicle?
You are allowed to take one piece of hand luggage, e.g., a bag or a backpack.
Please specify larger luggage such as suitcases, rollators, or strollers when booking.
Unfortunately, you are not allowed to bring bicycles or bulky luggage.

Can I bring my dog in the On-Demand vehicle?
As a rule, animals are not allowed in the On-Demand vehicle.
An exception applies to guide dogs and other necessary assistance animals. Small animals in suitable transport boxes are also permitted—but only if they do not require their own seat and there is enough space in the footwell.

Can I take my bicycle or bulky luggage in an On-Demand vehicle?
No. Unfortunately, due to space limitations, bicycles or bulky luggage cannot be taken in the On-Demand vehicle.
