SEPTEMBER
ESWE Verkehr celebrated a grand anniversary event.
On September 7th, 2025, ESWE Verkehr celebrated the 150th anniversary of Wiesbaden’s public transport – from the first horse-drawn tram to modern local transport.
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the event on Gartenfeldstraße offered exciting behind-the-scenes insights, interactive activities, and live music. The museum bus was also present, and a vintage bus shuttled between the Dernschen Gelände and the festival grounds.

AUGUST
ESWE Verkehr celebrated 150 years of mobility at Wiesbaden’s main train station
On August 16th, 2025, ESWE Verkehr celebrated the 150th anniversary of Wiesbaden’s local transport – exactly 150 years after the first horse-drawn tram ride through the city.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., our museum bus was stationed in front of Wiesbaden’s main train station. The mobile exhibition offered insights into the history of local transport—from the horse-drawn tram to the modern electric bus.
The prize wheel once again featured numerous prizes and great vibes.
JULY
ESWE Verkehr at the Schiersteiner Harbour Festival.
Four days full of summer, good vibes, and connections – and right in the middle of it all: ESWE Verkehr with the museum bus! From July 11th to 13th, 2025, we made a stop at the "Schierstein-Hafen" terminal and celebrated 150 years of Wiesbaden’s local transport with many visitors.
Our mobile exhibition bus offered fascinating insights – from the horse-drawn tram to historical exhibits and the modern electric bus. And at the prize wheel, there was not only great fun but also plenty of fantastic prizes to be won.
JUNE
ESWE Verkehr at the Wilhelmstraße Festival
On June 7th and 8th, 2025, we were there as Wilhelmstraße in Wiesbaden once again transformed into a vibrant festival mile. Right in the heart of the action: our ESWE Verkehr team – of course, all in celebration of our 150th anniversary!
At our stand, there was not only information and great conversations, but also small surprises, activities, and plenty of good vibes. Many visitors took the opportunity to get to know us better and raise a toast with us to 150 years of Wiesbaden’s local transport.

ESWE Verkehr at the Kranzplatzfest
On May 4, 2025, we celebrated 150 years of ESWE Verkehr together with you at the Kranzplatz Festival – with great spirits, little surprises, and many wonderful moments.
Whether at the information booth, the prize wheel, or just in conversation – you made this day special for us.
MARCH
ESWE Verkehr at the Carnival Parade
On March 2, 2025, we joined the big Wiesbaden Carnival Sunday Parade full of energy and festive spirit – celebrating our 150th anniversary in style!
Joining us was our electric bus in the brand-new anniversary design. Under the motto “150 Years – For All of Us!” it rolled through the city center as a festively decorated float – a real eye-catcher in the parade and a symbol of modern mobility with tradition.
FEBRUARY
Valentine’s Day at the Mobility Center
On February 14, 2025, we celebrated Valentine’s Day together with you – and what a wonderful day it was! You could spin the prize wheel, win great prizes, and enjoy an extra dose of warmth and kindness.

JANUARY
ESWE Verkehr at the Winterstubb
Kick-off to a special anniversary year: On January 11 and 12, 2025, we were at the Winterstubb with our prize wheel, celebrating the start of our 150th anniversary together with you. Many visitors enjoyed great prizes – and we celebrated a successful start to the anniversary year of Wiesbaden’s public transport.

5× Wiesbaden’s history on wheels
On Carnival Sunday, it was the star of the festivities: our electric bus in anniversary design! On March 2, it made its official debut rolling through the streets of Wiesbaden during the big parade.
But that’s not all: the eye-catching bus in our 150th-anniversary look is not a one-off! Since then, five buses in the anniversary design have been running on regular routes, carrying not only passengers but also a piece of Wiesbaden’s history through the city.

A rolling experience FOR ALL OF US
For the big anniversary, ESWE Verkehr is bringing a piece of the city’s history to life: the newly designed museum bus lets you experience the eventful history of Wiesbaden’s public transport up close – free of charge and right in the heart of the city.
The extensively converted former driver training bus is decorated on the outside with historical motifs and filled inside with fascinating texts, images, and exhibits – from the first horse-drawn tram to today’s electric bus.
In the coming months, the museum bus will tour all districts of Wiesbaden and appear at numerous events and city festivals. A rolling experience FOR ALL OF US – instead of a traditional anniversary book, you can see and ride it firsthand.
