Traveling by bus with a stroller

Find a safe and stable spot at the bus stop. Apply the brake and hold the stroller firmly at all times. For safety reasons, stand at least 1 meter away from the curb while waiting for the bus.

Here's how to safely get on and off:

Get on

  • Wait until the bus has come to a complete stop before approaching it.
  • Make sure the bus door is fully open before boarding.
  • Use the multi-purpose area behind the second door, or the third door if necessary.
  • When boarding, first push the front wheels of the stroller onto the bus, then the rear wheels. Then board the bus yourself.

On the bus

  • Our buses have designated areas for strollers and passengers using mobility aids.
  • Make sure the stroller is securely parked to prevent it from tipping over, and engage the brake.
  • Find a secure place to stand and hold onto the stroller throughout the entire ride.

Get off

  • Wait until the bus has come to a complete stop before moving the stroller.
  • Watch out for curbs and other obstacles when getting off the bus.
  • Step off the bus backward, so the rear wheels follow first, then the front wheels.

Don't hesitate to ask the bus driver or other passengers for help if you need assistance.
