The annual pass for anyone aged 65 and over

The Seniorenticket Hessen is the annual ticket for all people aged 65 and over. From 365 euros per year - i.e. for just 1 euro per day - you can travel throughout Hessen on all means of transport in the three Hessian transport associations RMV, NVV and VRN.

The ticket is available in two versions: a basic and a comfort version. The latter includes, among other things, the use of 1st class on trains and includes the RMV carriage allowance.

Your advantages:

  • Mobile around the clock: No time restrictions, valid 365 days a year.
  • 1st class travel: Use of 1st class on trains and the AirLiner (Darmstadt - Frankfurt Airport).
  • Travel in the evening and at weekends: Take one adult and an unlimited number of children under the age of 15 free of charge from 7 p.m., all day at weekends and on public holidays.
  • Extended take-along regulation in the VMW area: Take up to three other children under the age of 15 free of charge in fare zone 6500 (Wiesbaden/Mainz and surrounding area) from Monday to Friday until 7.00 pm.

Eligibility
  • Age of Use: Starting from the first day of the month in which you turn 65.
  • Place of Residence: Does not need to be in Hesse.
Validity
  • Valid throughout Hesse in all RMV, NVV, and VRN transportation (bus, S-Bahn, tram, U-Bahn, and regional trains).
  • Night and express bus routes are included.
  • Also valid in Mainz and at key hub stations in neighboring states (e.g., Worms, Weinheim, Warburg).
  • Not valid on long-distance trains like IC, EC, and ICE; purchasing IC surcharge tickets is not permitted.
  • Valid only in 2nd class; no upgrade to 1st class available.
  • Unlimited number of trips.
  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to end of service (5:00 AM the following day).
  • Weekends, public holidays in Hesse, December 24th and 31st: All day.
  • Hessentag: No time restrictions.
  • Only with the Seniorenticket Hessen Komfort.

Cancellation Policy
  • Can be canceled monthly.
  • Valid from the first calendar day of the month the subscription starts, for 12 months.
  • After the end of the calendar month in which the subscription was canceled, it remains valid until 3:00 AM the following day.
  • Monthly cancellations must be made by the 10th of the month.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew for 12 months unless canceled.

  • Only available with the Seniorenticket Hessen Komfort.
