Schülerticket Hessen

You can independently renew the regular Schülerticket Hessen in the subscription online portal. To do so, simply upload a new valid proof of eligibility under "My Profile." After your uploaded proof has been successfully verified, you will receive a confirmation of renewal.

Please note that we can only issue the school office confirmation at the beginning of the school year from 1 August.

Please note that the automatic extension of the Hessen W15 student ticket is only guaranteed up to the age of 18, as the state capital of Wiesbaden supports subsidisation up to this age.

If you receive citizen's allowance (SGB II), assistance towards living expenses (SGB XII), benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act (AsylbLG) or housing benefit (WoGG) for your child, you can order the Hessen WI15 student ticket for just 10 euros per month. Proof in the form of the Hessenpass mobil letter is sufficient. This is valid as authorisation to receive the discount on the purchase. Please submit a copy of this authorisation with your order.

If you receive child supplement (KiZ), the ticket can also be purchased for 10 euros per month. To do this, please contact the family benefits office.

When ordering the Hessen WI15 student ticket, you must submit a certificate of registration or an official document showing the child's age and place of residence as proof.

In order to apply for a Student Ticket Hesse, persons up to and including the age of 17 who live in Hesse must present proof of age, such as a child's ID card or birth certificate.

From the age of 18, proof from the school or training centre must be presented.

You do not need to extend the Hessen WI15 student ticket until the age of 18, as this happens automatically. From the age of 18, you can then switch to the regular Schülerticket Hessen.

You can extend the regular Student Ticket Hesse yourself in the online portal. To do this, you must select the ‘Create subscription’ function and place the order again or upload a new valid proof of eligibility under ‘My profile’.

The Student Ticket Hessen WI15 at the reduced price of €10.00 must be applied for each year in the Abo-Online-Portal with valid proof.

The Hesse Student Ticket can be used by all students and trainees whose place of residence and/or school or place of training is in Hesse. If both your place of residence and your place of school or training are in the Mainz city area, you are unfortunately not eligible for the Hesse Student Ticket. To compensate for this, however, you can also purchase a CleverCard after 1 August 2017. It will continue to be available for you at all ESWE Verkehr and MVG (Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft) sales outlets under the same conditions as before.

- Persons up to and including the age of 17 who live in Hesse only require proof of age (e.g. child's ID card or birth certificate).
- If the place of residence is not in Hesse, a certificate from the school or training centre in Hesse is required, regardless of the age of the ticket user.
- From the age of 18, proof of age must be provided on the order form by the school or training centre.

The ticket must be ordered at a sales outlet by the 10th of the previous month at the latest. Order forms can be downloaded here on the website from around the beginning of June

The Student Ticket Hesse is not transferable and does not entitle the holder to take additional persons with them free of charge.

The student ticket is valid for one year from the first day of any calendar month. For underage ticket users, i.e. those under the age of 18, the validity of the Schülerticket Hessen is automatically extended by a further year unless the ticket is cancelled by the 10th of the last month of validity at the latest. This subscription function only applies to the ‘direct debit/bank collection’ payment option; however, there is no subscription function for school tickets paid for in cash.

Anyone who has previously had their travel ticket provided or reimbursed by their school transport provider will also pay nothing for the new school ticket.

All school pupils and trainees who live in Hessen and/or whose school or training centre is in Hessen can use the Hessen school pupil ticket.

The ticket is valid throughout Hesse on all modes of transport operated by the three transport associations RMV, NVV and VRN. The ticket is also valid in the city of Mainz, as this forms a joint RMV fare zone with Wiesbaden.

The registration code is a code that is used to link your existing contract to the portal. You will find your registration code in the accompanying letter when you receive your chip card. If you cannot find it, please contact our customer service for assistance.

Registering on the ESWE Verkehr subscription online portal is quick and easy. Visit the portal website and select the option to register. Enter your personal details and create a user account. After completing the registration process, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Follow the link in this e-mail to activate your account and use the portal.

No, you don't have to have an existing subscription to use the online subscription portal. New customers can also easily order and manage their subscription via the portal.

To deactivate your account, please click on ‘My profile’ and select the ‘Deactivate’ option. Please note that deactivating your account will not affect your current contract.

Please note that cancellation in the first year of the contract must be made by the 10th of the previous month at the latest. In the event of cancellation in the first year of the contract, an additional charge will be made in accordance with the Common Tariff Regulations of the Transport Associations in Hesse for the Hesse Student Ticket.
